MAMAS

Lots of ways to address Mother's Day.We could have theological discussions about the biblical and not so biblical examples in the Bible. We could talk about what a lofty calling it is and one of the, if not the, hardest jobs in the world. We could go on and on about how they influence our spiritual and emotional and physical well beings and how we, as mamas, should seek God on a daily basis as to how best do that. We could talk about lots. My challenge- go do. Call your mama. If you can't call her, call someone who has been like a mama to you, spiritual or physical. Can't do that - tell the next haggard or happy mama you see at Wal-Mart or the grocery store - Thank you for what you do.Tell a single mama at church or a working mama or a widowed mama or even a GRAND- mama. Find some body's mama tomorrow and tell them thanks. Let someone talk about their mama with you. Laugh with them at the funny stuff, and cry right along with them through the sad stuff. And if you are a mama - let them bless you tomorrow. No modest humility, no guilt for being pampered. Let them love you.

May we not only be hearers of the word but doers as well. Happy Mother's Day!
