So my sister reads the blog, well, because I make her, and after the post on Monday she posed a question.
"Okay, so what does that actually look like? What does walking out our "newness of life" actually look like?"
So I pose it to you. Leave us a comment. Share your best everyday, practical advice. Love ya girls!

Wow - way to dump it off on me!!
Okay -since I posed the question I will go first. Now, please remember that, as a woman, this is only my FIRST opinion and I am free to change it as often and in whatever manner I deem necessary. So, here goes. I think that walking in newness of life begins in our attitude, which begins with our thoughts. Do we think and believe that He has given us this newness? How are we building that foundation in our minds and in our lives to display that? Studying and memorizing Scripture - the more of Him we have in our minds, the more we will think His thoughts. and as we begin to think how He thinks on things our attitudes will change. We will know and recognize the freedom we have in Christ. the freedom to NOT get angry, the freedom to NOT let our emotions run our day and our reactions, the freedom to see others and ourselves through God's eyes, the freedom to KNOW who we are in Christ and to NOT let others opinions of us determine our opinion of us.
okay, so I rambled, a lot. sorry rhonda

Here is mine - "longsuffering" aka - sticking with it- self-discipline - so very hard for me in many areas. I can continue with my old excuses as to why I overeat, or don't take of myself with exercise, or don't manage my money or whatever it is. However, longsuffering is a fruit of the Spirit - bible says it is mine to claim & to walk in. So why am I not?
Well I believe it looks very different for each person. Some are very vocal and expressionate, others are quiet and strong. I can only truly answer for myself because I cannot see other's hearts. Thank goodness for "do not judge others" or we might all be in trouble sometimes. I do strive and try very hard to let God shine right out of me. Sometimes the love I feel for him is so overwhelming, makes me feel 6 yrs.old again!!!!!!Joanne
